"Liked the restaurant. Had the set Sunday lunch which was plentiful. The first course was good the roast artichoke had a nice crunch to the skin, but the main course of roast beef was sprinkle with too much salt and the gravy had definitely too salty. The desert was okay and the service was polite and friendly."

"Our favourite dishes were the lobster ravioli and the tuna tataki. I really liked the beef kofta but not the flatbread nor the chutney it was served on it. I think menu could be clearer for example the chicory and pear salad had kimchi in the middle, which I did not expect. The pear and cognac tarte tatin was delicious and we added the vanilla ice cream which was very good as well!"

"Excellent food in smart surroundings. Staff were a little over attentive but food was great."

"Greys is the casual option for dinning in Whatley Manor but don't think burger and chips. The braised beef cheek is excellent and the Jersey Royals with a seaweed emulsion owe more than a little to Core but that's no bad thing. Keeping the wine and water bottles off the table requires a level of attendance that the staff sadly lack. Serving ourselves didn't even elicit a rush or apology and a bread order never arrived. But all in all a nice place with better food than one might expect. Using Covid as an excuse to make the table share a single menu or play with their phone to scan a code is the sort or nonsense we are getting used to; why is the grubby dog eared paper to scan ok but a menu wouldn't be?"
